In the warmer months, slow mornings by your private pool, outdoor showers and long afternoons under the Alentejo sun. When the days get cooler, the experience simply changes — cosy bathrobes, warm blankets, games, vinyl records, movie nights, the fire pit under the stars and all those little details that make staying in just as enjoyable as going out.
As winter arrives, the Alentejo countryside turns green again, wildflowers bloom and the landscape comes alive — a beautiful season for walks, nature and recharging your batteries.

Is the space really private?
Yes. The suite has its own entrance and a completely private outdoor area with its own pool and terrace, hidden from view.
Is brunch included?
Yes. Homemade brunch is included every morning and is served on your private terrace at your chosen time, between 8 am and 11 am.
Is there a kitchen or fridge?
Alentejo Zen is designed as a private retreat where you can slow down, unwind and enjoy a truly carefree stay. To preserve the comfort and freshness of your suite, there is no kitchen or fridge in the room. Instead, we offer homemade brunch every morning, along with drinks and homemade meals available to order, served directly on your private terrace. Everything is designed to let you relax and enjoy your time together, without the usual everyday chores. 💙
Can we have lunch or dinner there?
Yes. Lunch and dinner are available on request for an additional charge. Please order by 2 pm the day before. If you order dinner, you can also enjoy a movie under the stars on your private terrace.
Is the pool heated?
No, your private outdoor pool isn’t heated. However, it’s available to enjoy all year round! ☀️ After a walk through the beautiful Alentejo countryside, why not take an invigorating cold-water dip? It’s something we love doing ourselves! Afterwards, simply relax on your sun lounger, dry off in the sunshine and soak up the beautiful Alentejo light. With sunny days throughout much of the year, there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy a little outdoor bliss. 💙🦩

I also know some of the most beautiful places to discover near Alentejo Zen, and I’m always happy to share my favourite spots and local tips so you can experience the region like a local.
Basically, if it has a button, a screen or needs charging… it’s probably my department! 😄

After five years of training in French cuisine, I qualified as a professional chef. Today, I put all my love, experience and curiosity into my cooking, creating dishes with a personal touch, full of flavour — and, above all, made with love.
I love discovering new ideas, exploring flavours and adding my own touch to every dish, from your homemade morning brunch to our snacks, lunches and dinners.
For me, cooking is much more than preparing food. It’s a way of sharing, creating emotion and giving a little piece of myself to the people who stay here. ❤️
I also grow some of the plants myself, which I use to prepare the homemade welcome infusions waiting for you at check-in. And there is another little signature of mine at Alentejo Zen: the gentle scent you discover when you arrive, created with my own blend of essential oils.
